Meat lovers, rejoice! LA’s cult-favorite Korean barbecue Jeong Yuk Jeom has officially arrived in NYC’s Koreatown, bringing its prime-grade and aged beef to 44 W 32nd Street. The brainchild of restaurateur brothers Jaeyong and Andrew Son, Jeong Yuk Jeom—Korean for “butcher shop”—has built a massive following on the West Coast, and is now firing up the grills in the city that never sleeps.

Spread across two floors, the 140-seat space is a feast for the senses. Downstairs, a neon-lit meat case and standing bar set the stage, while a showstopping staircase wrapped with LED screens pulses with music videos, leading to an expansive dining room upstairs. Expect plush banquettes, built-in charcoal grills, and a semi-private dining space for 10.

But the real star here is the meat. The BBQ selection is stacked with top-tier cuts, including Prime Dry Aged Tomahawk, American Wagyu Ribeye, and A5 NY Strip, served with all the classic Korean fixings including pickled vegetables and lettuce wraps. Larger groups can go all in on the signature “Platters,” or feast on Korean classics like Wagyu Beef Tartare Sushi, Braised Black Cod, and hearty traditional stews.

Drinks are just as impressive. The bar slings Suntory-exclusive highballs, draft beer, and refined cocktails. The Korean modern spirit selection is tailored to the premium meats by Korea's only Master Sommelier, Kyungmoon Kim. Expect ingredient-driven sips inspired by the seasons—think Grey Goose-spiked coolers with ginger beer and lime in Winter and zesty Patron Silver margaritas for Summer.

The Son brothers, who cut their teeth in the restaurant world under their parents’ tutelage, are no strangers to the game. Their restaurant portfolio includes hotspots like Kang Ho-Dong Baekjeong in New York and Cali-based Rolling Rice, and now Jeong Yuk Jeom is shaping up to be their biggest hit yet.

Doors are open daily from 11:30 AM to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 AM on weekends. Snag a spot on Resy, or risk missing out on NYC’s hottest new BBQ sensation.
