West Village favorite Kubeh just got a major upgrade. The beloved Middle Eastern restaurant, known for its comforting kubeh dumplings and bold, regional flavors, has unveiled a chic new bar area at the front of its space at 464 Sixth Ave and 11th Street — the first major change since opening eight years ago.

The new 15-seat bar, designed by Israel-based architect Sofia Husni, brings together cozy Middle Eastern bistro vibes with New York elegance. Think antique brass, cherry wood, clay-textured walls, and Moroccan tile — plus rugs and antique plates from owner Melanie Shurka’s personal collection.

Alongside the stylish new look comes a fresh cocktail program that leans into bold, Middle Eastern ingredients. Highlights include the Torshi-Tini (a Persian pickle brine martini), a Saffron Negroni, and Arak the Casbah with mezcal, tequila and pomegranate. For those skipping the alcohol, there are equally complex zero-proof cocktails like the Persian Virgin with cucumber and zahtar, and Sahlav, a warm orchid milk drink with rosewater and pistachio.

A new bar bites menu — served weekdays from 4–7 p.m. — features small plates like a sesame pita grilled cheese with feta and za’atar, chopped liver with fried pita chips, and a smoked salmon “pitada” with labneh, caviar and sumac. A Bar Burger puts a Middle Eastern spin on the classic, and is available all day at the bar only.
