Spring is in the air at La Devozione, the restaurant rooted in Italy at Chelsea Market. The menu is centered on capturing seasonal flavors at their height of freshness, including chili peppers from Calabria and tomatoes shipped in from Campagnia.
Menu highlights include Pacchero Calabria, large tube pasta cooked in water and fish broth, served over bergamot sauce cut with orange juice and topped with Smoked Swordfish, Calabrian chilli, and fennel salad; Marco Polo, linguine cooked in water and oolong black tea with garlic milk foam whisked in and topped with Ossetra Caviar; and the signature dish of spaghetti al pomodoro.
The centerpiece at La Devozione is The Oval where Executive Chef Alessio Rossetti is preparing dished individually that are served to awaiting diners “al dente” with 10 to 40 seconds after completion. Diners can also take advantage of a new 16th Street entrance.
