Field Guide, Williamsburg’s new modern American restaurant from Chef Tim Meyers (formerly of Eleven Madison Park, Blanca, and Roberta’s), is hosting a three-part wine class series led by its acclaimed Wine Director and Managing Partner, Mackenzie Khosla (previously of Pasquale Jones, Bar Boulud, and Marta). Perfect for wine enthusiasts of all levels, these Sunday afternoon classes promise a fun and approachable journey through wine tasting, pairing, and comparing.
Class Topics:
• Sunday, 1/26 // Tasting 101: Dive into six distinct wines while mastering the deductive tasting method, a technique used by professional sommeliers worldwide.
• Sunday, 2/2 // Pairing 101: Uncover the art of pairing food and wine. We’ll explore the dos and don'ts, share insider tips and tricks, and sample a variety of wines known for their classic pairings.
• Sunday, 2/9 // Comparative 101: Experience three side-by-side comparisons that reveal how the same grape can express itself differently depending on climate and winemaking style. Learn how to identify these fascinating distinctions!
Each class runs from 12 PM to 1:30 PM and includes curated snacks alongside the wines. Tickets are $75 per class or $180 for all three, available for purchase via Resy.
