Look Who is Going To Be On Broadway This Fall

Lots of new names – and familiar faces – will be stepping on the stage of the Great White Way this fall. Over at Ethel Barrymore, country music superstar Jennifer Nettles will star as Jenna in the hit musical “Waitress” from October 17 through November 24. In addition, Maiesha McQueen and Ashley Blanchet are set to join the cast on Tuesday, October 5 as Becky and Dawn respectively, replacing current cast members Charity Angél Dawson and Caitlin Houlahan.

Broadway star Heidi Blickenstaff will step into the leading role of Mary Jean Healy in the musical, “Jagged Little Pill,” which return to the Broadhurst Theatre on October 21. Original star Elizabeth Stanley, who is on maternity leave, will return to the role of Mary Jane on a limited schedule beginning in November and will thereafter share the role with Blickenstaff. In addition, when the show returns, Morgan Dudley will make her Broadway debut as Frankie Healy alongside original cast members Derek Klena as Nick Healy, Sean Allan Krill as Steve Healy, Kathryn Gallagher as Bella, Lauren Patten as Jo, and Antonio Cipriano as Phoenix.

Casting has been announced for the new one-part version of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which begins performances November 12 at the Lyric Theatre. The show will star James Snyder as Harry Potter, Diane Davis as Ginny Potter alongside James Romney as their son Albus Potter; David Abeles as Ron Weasley, Jenny Jules as Hermione Granger, Nadia Brown as RoseGranger-Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy and Brady Dalton Richards as Scorpius Malfoy.

Full casting has been announced for the Broadway musical “Mrs. Doubtfire,” which will resume performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on October 21 in advance of the official opening night on December 5. Tony Award nominee Rob McClure will star as Daniel Hillard alongside Jenn Gambatese as Miranda Hillard, Peter Bartlett as Mr. Jolly, Charity Angél Dawson as Wanda Sellner, Mark Evans as Stuart Dunmire, J. Harrison Ghee as Andre Mayem, Analise Scarpaci as Lydia Hillard, Jake Ryan Flynn as Christopher Hillard, Avery Sell as Natalie Hillard and Brad Oscar as Frank Hillard.
