Tis the season for some new dishes from Lotus + Cleaver, the new Chinese fast casual restaurant at the new JACX & CO food hall in Long Island City. Executive chef Doron Wong’s menu features locally sourced ingredients in curated and make-your-own bowls, fresh salads, and seasonal sides.
For the holidays, look for dishes like Heritage Char Siu Pork served by the pound ($12/lb), and whole Cascun Farm Rotisserie Chickens ($24), both which come with ginger scallion sauce. They can be paired with a selection of Lotus + Cleaver sides such as Chilled Sweet Potato Noodles with kale, rice vinegar, and chili oil.

And who wouldn't want a warming bowl of congree. The Winter Multi-Grain Congee Bowl comes with stir-fried mushrooms, local farm egg, chai po, crispy shallots, and scallions. There is also 5-Spice Tofu with chinese celery, speck ham, pine nuts, and sesame oil, and Stir-Fried Chinese Cauliflower with spiced sweet soy and golden sand.
Lotus + Cleaver will be open from 11AM - 6PM on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
