
In what has been a food desert in Midtown, trendy MaLa Project (41 W: 46th St; (917) 261-7520) has reopened adding some much needed spice to the neighborohood. Hear you will find Sichuan dishes like Pig's Ear in chili oil, spicy Dandan Noodle with minced pork and pickled vegetables, house-made dumplings and a build-your-own MaLa Dry Pot. Food is available for takeout and delivery. Here's the menu. Mala Project's East Village location (122 1st Avenue; (212) 353-8880) is also open for business.
