Meet the Nominees: Tom Francis of Sunset Boulevard

In Part 4 of Cititour’s Meet the Nominees series for the upcoming Tony Awards, we spotlight Tom Francis, whose commanding performance as Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard has earned him a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical.
Francis joined Cititour’s Brian Scott Lipton and other members of the Broadway press for a candid roundtable conversation in New York City. In his Broadway debut, Francis brings both edge and elegance to the role, holding his own opposite Nicole Scherzinger’s electrifying Norma Desmond.
As noted in Brian Scott Lipton’s review of Sunset Boulevard, Francis' performance "grounds the show with clarity and charisma,” cementing him as one of this season’s breakout stars.
