Mochidoki is opening its second brick-and-mortar location on Manhattan's Upper East Side (1035 3rd Avenue) on October 22nd. Mochidoki Upper East Side will offer a shop-exclusive mochi ice cream flavor, found only at the new shop: Everything Bagel — cream cheese ice cream wrapped in light, chewy mochi, flavored with everything bagel spices including garlic, salt, sesame and poppy seeds. Everything Bagel will be featured alongside Mochidoki’s perennial favorites like Ube, Vegan Matcha, Salted Caramel, Black Sesame, Vegan Lychee and many more,as well as rotating seasonal varieties such as fall 2021’s Pandan Pistachio. Mochi ice cream is available a la carte and in customizable boxes of four and 12.

The shop's beverage menu includes a newly-expanded tea program with a curated Mochi & Tea Pairings section, allowing guests to explore complementary flavors, such as the combination of Nitro Turmeric Ginger Tea and Coconut Mochi for a “golden latte” pairing. The shop also offers Nitro Matcha, Nitro Hibiscus Mango Tea, Nitro Marsala Chai, Nitro Butterfly Pea Tea, and Nitro Cold Brew on tap.

Designed by Christopher Wong (Co-Founder and Director of Marketing & Design), Mochidoki Upper East Side’s family-friendly outdoor patio is inspired by a Japanese zen garden. The open, free-flowing layout features mochi ice cream-shaped bench seating (designed to look like pebbles) and serves as an escape from bustling Third Ave. The shop interior is designed to highlight Mochidoki’s colorful confections, beautifully displayed in a six-foot case for guests to select flavors.
