The Museum at FIT, the only museum in NYC dedicated entirely to the art of fashion – is excited to officially unveil “Fashioning Wonder: A Cabinet of Curiosities,” a major, immersive exhibition which explores the fascinating and long-standing connections between cabinets of curiosities and fashion, which remains open until April 20.

This free exhibit features nearly 200 garments and accessories, almost exclusively selected from MFIT’s permanent collection, many of which are on display for the first time. It includes the works of renowned designers such as Chanel, Bob Mackie, Vivienne Westwood, Schiaparelli, along with a table by the iconic photographer Bill Cunningham.

The unique exhibition design also allows for interaction with objects, encouraging visitors to identify unusual or obsolete objects and to engage with the sensory appeal of fashion.

The museum is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from noon until 8pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. For more information and the latest updates, visit the museum’s website fitnyc.edu/museum
