NYC BITES - THE CHOCOLATE SWIRL

The Chocolate Swirl at Ole & Steen is a thing of beauty. It has the crunch of a crispy croissant, the sweet filling of a cinnamon bun and a swirl of chocolate that you might find on a glazed donut.  The Danish pastry with a shortcrust base sells for $4.50 but is large enough for two.  Although it won’t last long. We found it at the Ole & Steen’s near Bryant Park. There’s also a Cinnamon Swirl version with vanilla icing.
