Patti Ann’s in Prospect Heights continues to make its move to “Diner” mode. Dishes include BBQ Fried Chicken Skillet with hashbrowns, fried egg topped with cheddar, red onion, fried chicken tenders, BBQ sauce & toast; and Turkey Club with roasted turkey, bacon, romaine, marinated tomato & chili crisp mayo. On February 25, Yingtao in NYC and Musaafer from Houston come together for an exclusive, one-night-only collaboration dinner. This 9-course tasting menu ($225) offers a sneak peek at Musaafer’s upcoming NYC restaurant, opening Spring 2025. Highlights include Kokum Fizz, Black Onion Pakora, and Lychee Ceviche, blending the signature styles of both fine dining destinations. The event takes place at Yingtao (805 9th Ave, NYC). Celebrate National Absinthe Day on March 5th at Le Rivage, a Theatre District staple for over 40 years, and enjoy a complimentary glass of absinthe with their Frog Legs à la Persillade. Market 57’s PLATFORM, the James Beard Foundation’s modern showcase kitchen, is offering two “Demo and Dine” events. They include Milk and Cardamom: Afternoon Chai with Hetal Vasavada on March 9 at 1pm, where the MasterChef alum and author will share her Gujarati-inspired recipes for Masala Chai and Kesar Pista Cream Puffs, paired with treats from Desi Bakes. On March 28 at 6pm, join Pasta and Pastry with Chef Renato Poliafito of Brooklyn’s Ciao Gloria as he demonstrates how to craft fresh pasta and pastries, sharing expert techniques and stories.
