Meet Bagizza, the Midtown newcomer elevating your favorite college snack with hand-rolled, freshly baked bagels, prime rib-topped creations, and a full-fledged deli counter.

Pizza bagels might conjure memories of late-night freezer raids or after-school snacks, but Midtown’s newest opening, Bagizza (424 Madison Ave at 49th St), is rewriting the script. Opening today, May 15, this all-day bagel-pizza hybrid shop is anything but basic, blending New York and Montreal bagel styles with serious chef chops and house-cured deli meats.

The brainchild of restaurateur Michael Park, master bagel roller Alex Baka, and chef Steven Cho (Jams, Kappo Masa, Chef's Club), Bagizza starts with the foundation: bagels that undergo a three-stage cooking process—kettle, rack oven, wood stone oven—for the perfect chew and crisp. Baka, who estimates he’s hand-rolled over 25 million bagels (yes, million) with his sister, brings family-taught precision to every batch, whether it’s a cherry blossom swirl, coffee-infused, or classic sesame.

But these aren’t your standard rounds. For Bagizza’s namesake creations, bagels are flattened with a sheeter into a perfect pizza canvas. The menu riffs on global flavors with toppings like Shrimp Toast with curry mayo, Hawaiian with pink pineapple, cured ham and fleur de sel, and Broccolini Pesto with pecorino and chili flakes. And if you’re still craving more, house-made sauces and schmears—from Bacon Kimchi Jam to Olive Tapenade Cream Cheese—let you customize your slice.

Beyond the pizza bagels, Bagizza doubles as an elevated NYC bodega. Think prime rib lunches, a hot food buffet, and house-smoked meats. There’s also a specialty coffee bar brewing Colombian beans, fresh juices, smoothies, and acai bowls.

Designed with Midtown’s on-the-go crowd in mind, the sprawling space includes an open bagel-rolling station and high-end pizza oven, balancing grab-and-go efficiency with a chef-driven vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick caffeine fix, a comfort food upgrade, or a build-your-own bagel pizza, Bagizza is staking its claim as NYC’s new bagel-pizza authority.

Bagizza is open 24/7, catering to locals, commuters, and food lovers alike. For more information, visit eatbagizza.com
