No Parents Allowed as NYC's Camp Porchlight Returns

A touch of the South is alive and well in Manhattan thanks to Porchlight, a spirited cocktail bar from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. Located at 271 11th Avenue, Porchlight blends Southern charm with NYC energy—and now, it’s bringing back its beloved Camp Porchlight series, complete with nostalgic bites, cheeky cocktails, and Monday night music that feels like summer camp for grown-ups.

What to Eat:

The menu is packed with Southern-inspired comfort food. Think Fried Dill Pickle Chips with buttermilk ranch, Firecracker Chicken glazed in habanero honey, and Hot Honey Chicken Sliders layered with Fresno slaw and Trinity Rémoulade. Fried oysters, hush puppies with andouille sausage, and a loaded Chili “Bowl of Red” round out the hearty offerings. For a true camp classic reimagined, don’t miss the Double Trouble Burger or Carrot Cake in a Jar.

Live Music Mondays:

Every Monday from 6–9pm, Music Mondays brings a rotating cast of blues, bluegrass, and jazz musicians to the bar’s intimate stage—no tickets, no cover. July’s lineup includes Kensuke Shoji, Moses Patrou, Demolition String Duo, Diane Stockwell, and Ethan Eubanks, turning the bar into a front porch-worthy jam session.
