Oliva Launches a Southern Brunch Uptown

Spanish tapas bar, Oliva, is offering Sunday brunch with a Southern twist. Chef Chris Scott's homestyle three-course prix fixe menu costs $39.
The first course includes things like Yam Croquettes with scotch bonnet jelly, Crispy Deviled Eggs with collard shards, and Hoe Cakes accompanied by Pee Dee BBQ and corn chow chow.
Second-course options range from Biscuit and Gravy “My Way” featuring a brown sugar buttermilk biscuit waffle to Peaches and Cream French Toast with caramelized peach bread pudding, peach compote, and rum creme anglaise, and Shrimp & Grits featuring tomato and okra stew with cheesy grits. Sides like Nana Browne’s Fried Potatoes, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Pennsylvania Dutch Sausage Patty, and Turkey Bacon are also available for an additional $5.
The third-course brings uniquely decadent desserts like Coca-Cola Pound Cake, Salted Virginia Peanut Caramel, and Butterfunk Banana Pudding.
