The team behind Brooklyn’s beloved Ops has crossed the river, opening a second location in the East Village with new flavors and the same laid-back charm that made the Bushwick original a destination. Now open at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 11th Street, Ops East Village builds on its James Beard-nominated success with a menu that blends signature sourdough pizzas and natural wines with a lineup of Midwestern-inspired “Tavernetta” style pizzas and Italian-American comfort food.

Chef and co-founder Michael Fadem, originally from St. Louis, introduces the Tavernettas—a crisp, thin-crust pizza—with options like Classic, Hawaiian, and Pissaladière, served alongside Ops originals like the Napoletana, Pops and Rojo. The expanded menu also includes baked pastas like lasagna, sausage platters, and snacks like Fritto Misto and Suppili (cheese-filled rice balls). Desserts stick to the hits: flourless chocolate cake, panna cotta, and a soft-serve sundae that channels old-school nostalgia.

Ops East Village features a 60-seat dining room with street-facing windows that open in warm weather, cozy banquettes, and a custom stainless-steel bar that seats 10. Outside, 20 additional seats spill outside. The natural wine program remains central—glasses feature a hand-drawn mortadella by Marie Tribouilloy—and the cocktail menu is overseen by longtime Ops GM Cedric Obando.

Ops East Village is open daily from 5 PM to midnight. Reservations are available on Resy. For more info, visit opsbk.com/east-village and follow @opsnyc.
