POPULAR, the signature restaurant of Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC hotel, will host a Peruvian Independence Day celebratory feast on Thursday July 28 with a menu created by four New York City all-star Peruvian chefs.
The restaurant’s world-acclaimed chef Chef Diego Muñoz is collaborating in the kitchen with Chef Erik Ramirez (Llama San), Chef Jose Luis Chavez (Mission Ceviche) and Chef Oscar Lorenzzi (Contento) on the menu. Each chef is preparing two dishes, from succulent ceviche to a summery bean salad to roasted branzino and veal tongue, and there will be two desserts featuring lucuma ice cream and purple corn pudding.
The dishes are served family-style in four festive “moments,” rather than formal courses. Dinner starts with an optional signature cocktail made with Pisco, Peru’s noble spirit, and curated paired wines are available. There will also be a live Latin music performance.
This prix fixe feast cost $150 per person. Reservations are available through Resy.com. For further information, visit www.publichotels.com
