Piccante, known for its homemade pastas and Italian comfort dishes, has relocated to a larger space in Bay Ridge, taking over the former Sancho’s Spanish restaurant. The move allows Piccante to expand its menu offerings, with a continued focus on fresh pasta, slow-cooked sauces, and risotto.

Highlights from the menu include housemade pappardelle with pancetta, onions, and green peas in arrabbiata sauce, squid ink fettuccine with shrimp and chorizo, and short rib ragu with homemade pasta. Panini sandwiches like spicy sausage with broccolie rabe can also be found on homemade ciabatta. The restaurant also offers a curated wine list featuring bottles like Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Chianti from Tuscany, and crisp Pinot Grigio from Friuli, complementing the traditional Italian fare.
