Bastille Day marks the anniversary of the fall of the Bastille in Paris on July 14, 1789, signaling the start of the French Revolution. Here are some restaurants where you can celebrate:
Let them eat cake at Francis Staub's La Brasserie! The French brasserie is marking the occasion with an exclusive $65 prix fixe menu. The menu begins with Gougère, savory choux pastry mixed with grated cheese. Other options include Steak Au Poivre with pommes aligot, au poivre sauce, and watercress; Grilled Loup de Mer with spiced couscous, grapefruit, avocado, lemon curry vinaigrette; and Chocolate Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and summer berries.

James Beard Award-winning French pastry Chef Francois Payard’s new restaurant Southold Social will celebrate Bastille Day, the national day of France, on Thursday, July 14 with a special prix fixe menu. $72 prix-fixe menu features dishes such as Petite Farcis, sausage-stuffed baked zucchini; Roasted Chicken with herbes de Provence ratatouille; Hanger Steak Au Poivre with green peppercorn sauce; and Tart Tropézienne, a French favorite for dessert. À la carte dining will be available, as well.
