Playland Amusement Park in Rye, NY is officially back for the 2025 season—and it’s starting strong with free admission, rides, and parking all Memorial Day Weekend, from Saturday, May 24 through Monday, May 26. The Westchester County landmark will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering family fun and entertainment by the Sound.

Although the park is reopening in phases, guests can enjoy eight Kiddyland rides and five major attractions, including two of the park’s newest rides. The iconic Dragon Coaster and Derby Racer remain closed for now, as the section housing those rides is still preparing for launch.

Entertainment across the park includes appearances by Coaster the Dragon (Playland's beloved mascot), an interactive DJ, live steel drum music, and strolling entertainers, including jugglers. A separate DJ will spin tunes by the beach and pool area, while the Westchester Children’s Museum will be open for interactive family fun throughout the weekend.

Other attractions include the Arcade Game Room and a free-play basketball area near the Double Shot Ride during the opening weekend. On the culinary front, guests can enjoy local favorites like Graziella’s, Westchester Burger, Lulu’s Mexican cuisine, Walter’s Hot Dogs, and Mr. Softee, plus scenic dining at the Tiki Beach Pier Restaurant.

“This was truly an all-hands-on-deck operation,” said Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, noting the $150 million investment in revitalizing Playland. “We are just getting started.”
