RED BULL TO PRESENT 2020 SHORT NEW PLAY FESTIVAL

Red Bull Theater will broadcast its 2020 Short New Play Festival, consisting of eight, 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes, on Monday, July 20th at 7:30 pm. It will be available by livestream through RedBullTheater.com, Facebook and Youtube.

This year’s festival, which is inspired by Noel Coward’s classic comedy “Private Lives,” will include works by Jeremy O. Harris, Theresa Rebeck, Ben Beckley, Avery Deutsch, Leah Maddrie, Jessica Moss, Matthew Park, and Mallory Jane Weiss. The plays will be directed by Mêlisa Annis, Vivienne Benesch and Em Weinstein. The evening will also include short interviews with the playwrights and host Craig Baldwin.

The Festival’s cast features Tony Award nominees Kathleen Chalfant, Lilli Cooper and Charlayne Woodard, Obie Award winner Edmund Donovan, Drama Desk Award winner Peter Francis James and television and stage stars Ali Ahn, Frankie J. Alvarez, William Jackson Harper and Louisa Jacobson.
