The folks behind Santo Parque, a new Brazilian restaurant in Williamsburg, refer to themselves as the 3 Yamasakis: Naina, Pedro and Sara. Together they launched Santo Brúklin in the midst of a pandemic and are now working on their second venture, Santo Parque, located in a bright and airy space directly across from McCarren Par. The restaurant is turning out lively Brazilian cuisine and inventive cocktails.

Start with some empanadas stuffed with steak and melted swiss or a Brazilian snack called PDQ or Pao de Queija, a cheese bread served with house-made pork nduja and guava jam. The PDQ is also offered as Wagyu sliders. Spanish Octopus, meanwhile, arrives with blistered cherry tomatoes, Malagueta peppers and yucca. Larger plates include Moqueca, a Brazilian stew made with coconut milk and choice of seafood, chicken or mushrooms. Meat lovers can dive into a 1-Pound Ribeye with chimichurri or Brazilian Picanha Steak, a cut of beef taken from the top of the rump. Chocolate brownies and flan with seasonal fruits are among the desserts.

From the bar comes drinks like The Girl from Iponema (espolon tequila blanco, jalapeno tequila, fresh grapefruit and lime & seltzer) and Patrāo aka “THE BIG BOSS” (Patron tequila blanco, passion fruit, basil & malbec float). The Yamasakis say they pride themselves on respect, teamwork and creativity. The rest they say is pure fun!

Santo Parque is located at 232 N 12th St, Brooklyn, NY (347) 529-6898
