After the runaway success of his hot chocolate and ice cream shop, Glace, Sasha Zabar is sweetening the Upper East Side once more with Glace Candy, opening May 15. The new shop next door brings a curated selection of candies from around the world—think Swedish sour gummies, French fruit pastilles, and Japanese jellies—alongside housemade chocolates, marshmallows, and small-batch sweets.

The two storefronts are connected by an arched walkway, designed by Faber / Hughes in the same whimsical pastel palette. Guests can build custom sundaes by mixing candies into Glace’s signature ice creams—like Brown Butter Vanilla and Meyer Lemon—on a new chilled marble slab.

It’s a playful, modern candy shop rooted in Zabar’s childhood memories of Millionaire Deli, now brought back to life with an Upper East Side glow.

Glace Candy is located at 1266 Madison Avenue and is open 12–8 p.m. daily.
