
The East Village is now home to SESTINA, Matthew Kenney's new pasta and wine bar. Kenney is known for his plant-inspired creations such as Gnocchi with brown butter. walnut. sage. pumpkin seed parmesan; Escarole with smoked almond ricotta. artichoke. preserved lemon. pickled red onion; Rigatoni Bolognese Ragu with mozzarella. macadamia. parmesan and Zeppole with hazelnut and chocolate ganache. Kenney operates more than 40 plant-inspired restaurants in 5 continents. At SESTINA, diners will find an open-kitchen, patio seating and glass-enclosed pasta "bar." A meal kit program is also being offered.
