Let’s head to Coney.  Coney Island’s Luna Park is opening for the season on Saturday, April 2nd at 12noon. To celebrate they are giving away 95 free rides on the Cyclone on opening day to mark the roller coaster’s 95th year. 

The Williamsburg Hotel is hosting a North Folk Wine Series on April 6th at 7pm.  Wines from Lieb Cellars will be paired with house specialties.  $90pp.  For info click here

Brooklyn Korean BBQ restaurant Insa (328 Douglas St) is hosting a fun 7-course Pig Feast with James Beard Award nominated Korean chef Ji Hye Kim of the acclaimed Miss Kim in Ann Arbor, MI on April 4th at 7pm.  $80pp.  For more info click here

Rockefeller Center is celebrating Spring with an afternoon of fun on April 24th in honor of Earth Day. There will be workshops, live music, snacks and an appearance by Roxy the Owl. 2-5pm. Free! Registration required.

Venus Over Manhattan is presenting Swept Away, a exhibition featuring the works of Ana Benaroya at the gallery’s new downtown space at 55 Great Jones Street.  The Exhibition runs from April 8th to May 21st.

Rentbrella, an umbrella sharing company, is hosting a free art exhibit called “Under the Umbrella” featuring 400 umbrellas created by students at FIT.  The exhibit at W 27th St (between 7th and 8th Aves) is open to the public from 9am to 6pm through April 11.

The New York Botanical Garden’s The Orchid Show: Jeff Leatham’s Kaleidoscope is an orchid lover's dream. Now in it’s 19th year, the show features exotic orchids in breathtaking shapes and colors, as well as alluring fragrances.  The show runs through May 1st.
