In a city where burgers are practically a birthright, Deux Luxe in SoHo is putting a bold, sister-led spin on the classic.
Charlotte and Carrie Denoyer, the sisters behind Westchester’s Café Deux, are bringing their award-winning wagyu burgers to New York City, inspired by the cult following they built outside the city. The second-generation restaurateurs (their father is Jean Denoyer of La Goulue fame) have created a cozy, mostly to-go shop at 384 Broome Street, serving up restaurant-quality burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches with playful, elevated twists.
Led by Executive Chef Alex Aparicio, the menu is a comfort food dream with a chef-y edge. The Classic Burger is smothered in cheddar cheese, a hit of garlic aioli and bread & butter pickles, while the Big Deux doubles down with two juicy wagyu patties and signature sauce. There's also a junior-sized burger for lighter appetites, and a portobello mushroom version for vegan diners. There's also a Build Your Own Burger option. On the chicken side, crispy chicken sandwiches come slathered in a spicy sauce laced with turmeric and coconut, balanced by a crunchy red cabbage slaw.

To keep the menu fresh, Deux Luxe plans to rotate in limited-time specials like a Butter Chicken Burger, Kimchi Burger, and a French Onion version giving diners plenty of reasons to return.
Though the space is designed for grab-and-go, it leans into retro diner nostalgia with checkered wallpaper, dark green tones, a few counter seats overlooking Broome Street, and even a vintage-style sticker ATM for a touch of whimsy.
In a city packed with burger joints, Deux Luxe serves up a family recipe for success: two sisters, stacked burgers, crispy chicken, and just enough SoHo cool.
