Summer Escapes at Bar Blondeau with Rooftop Tea, Cocktails & Seafood

Bar Blondeau, the rooftop bar and restaurant at Brooklyn’s Wythe Hotel, is embracing the season with al fresco Afternoon Tea, a new lineup of summer cocktails, and a seafood-forward menu with stunning Manhattan views. The terrace-set Afternoon Tea—named one of “The Best Afternoon Teas in New York City” by Vogue—is $55 per person and includes elegant bites like Egg Salad Toast, Anchovy Toast with Calabrian chili, Smoked Salmon Toast, and sweets such as Vanilla Chouquette and Tartelette au Chocolat.

Beverage Director Jarett Karlsberg highlights New York producers like Neversink Spirits and Faccia Brutto in cocktails such as the Trust Fund, a twist on the Porn Star Martini with pandan, passion fruit, and a Champagne shooter; and the Bar Soap, featuring local gin, Empirical’s Brooklyn-made Cilantro spirit, and bergamot. The Frozen Piña Verde—a three-rum slush—is summer-ready and garnished with fresh pineapple leaves.

Chef/Partner Aidan O’Neal (Le Crocodile, Chez Ma Tante) anchors the food menu with dishes like Burger au Poivre with gruyère, while Pastry Chef Leanne Tran serves seasonal desserts including a towering Blondeau Blondie Sundae and Champagne Mango Sorbet with lime meringue. Sunset Hour “Happy Hour” is also available at the bar.
