The Grid, the restaurant at Great Jones Distilling Co., Manhattan's first and only legal whiskey distillery since Prohibition, is offering a special twist on their best seller -- the Chiocciole Mac & Cheese, which is cooked and served in a cast iron casserole dish, achieving a perfectly golden crispy exterior with toasted bread crumbs and a creamy saucy interior.
In celebration of National Mac & Cheese Day on 7/14, The Grid will offer a special version of this mac & cheese topped with their in-house bourbon braised bacon for just $29, for day only.
Led by Executive Chef Adam Raksin, the 72-seat, street-level restaurant, designed by the Groundswell Design Group, invokes a feeling of old New York with leather booths and wood-paneled walls, making it a wonderful spot to dine.
