South Brooklyn wine bar, The Owl's Head, is now offering takeout and pickup. The spot in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is known for its affordable natural wines, small-batch craft beers served with artisan cheeses and breads from Il Fornaretto Bakery in Bensonhurst.  For Father's Day, artist and sommelier John Avelluto is offering a special package for dad, including sausages for grilling from Ends Meet, and a 4-pack of craft beer from Brooklyn micro-brewer Other Half. UPDATE: This Saturday 6/20, The Owl’s Head wine bar in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn welcomes everyone to take part in the creation of a mural dedicated to Black Lives Matter, starting at 10am. The restaurant has enlisted Brooklyn artists Jen Maloney and Isabelle Garbani to create the mural from 10am until 2pm with the community participation of neighbors and supporters, who will write the names of police violence victims as part of the 15-foot long mural. Masks, sanitizer and bottles of water will be available for participants, who be asked to keep social distance and take turns when working on the mural.
