First look at Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Arriving November 13th

You know it’s getting close to Christmas when the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is set to arrive. This year, for the first time, the tree will be coming from Maryland. It is a 79-foot tall Norway Spruce weighing some 12 tons. Rockefeller Center says it was donated by a family in the town of Elkton, MD.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be cut down on November 11 and is set arrive on Saturday November 13th where it will wrapped with 50,000 multi-colored, energy efficient LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski crystal star.
A star-studded lighting ceremony, complete with Santa, will be held on Wednesday, December 1st and broadcast on NBC. Stay tuned for more exciting details!
