Verdi’s Requiem Returns to Trinity Church with a Stunning New Work by Tania León

On May 1 and 2 at 7:00 PM, Trinity Church will host two special performances in celebration of the 100th anniversary of The Dessoff Choirs. The program will feature Giuseppe Verdi’s powerful Requiem alongside the world premiere of a newly commissioned choral work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tania León.

Presented in collaboration with The Trinity Choir, Downtown Voices, and NOVUS, the performances will be conducted by Grammy-nominated conductor Malcolm J. Merriweather. A standout roster of soloists will take the stage, including Angela Meade (soprano), J’Nai Bridges (mezzo-soprano), Won Whi Choi (tenor), and Kevin Short (bass-baritone).
