Mena, a new restaurant from acclaimed chef Victoria Blamey, arrives in Tribeca. This is Chef Blamey’s first solo restaurant after working in award-winning kitchens, such as Gotham Bar & Grill, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Fulgurances Laundromat & more. The menu champions local and responsible farmers and producers.
The stunning 50-seat dining room is wrapped with wall-to-wall windows, and nods to the creative energy of downtown Manhattan by highlighting artists and artisans of various mediums, including photographers, musicians, florists and more.
Blamey’s menu draws its inspiration from her years cooking in kitchens across the U.K, Spain, Australia and New York City. The opening prix-fixe menu includes ME Snow Island Oyster with seaweed gremolata; Scallop with squash leche de tigre and aji limón; Japanese Sardine with potato mayonnaise, piquillo pepper and pimentón; and Savoy Cabbage with scallop mousse, sea lettuce and vin jaune. Also on the menu - Winter Pavlova with angel hair squash, confit etrog and citrus curd; CA Squab with buckwheat honey and fermented radicchio; and VT Woodbury Pheasant, dry aged with mole.
Beverages are designed to complement the brightness of the menu. Signature cocktails, including non-alcoholic options, are the creations of Gustavo Zamora (previously ATLA) and include Rum with Flor de Caña with house made coconut milk and pineapple; Pisco with Macchu Pisco, pomegranate and citrus; and Mezcal with Yola Mezcal, Velvet Falernum, kiwi and green chartreuse.
