Viral Tik Tok Video Puts Spotlight on Corn and NYC Chefs Respond

With Corn trending due to a viral TikTok video, some NYC restaurants are also singing the praises of corn!

noreetuh, the Michelin-recognized modern Hawaiian restaurant in the East Village from Chef/Partner Chung Chow (Per Se, Lincoln Restaurant) and Partner/General Manager Jin Ahn are featuring Sweet Summer Corn Musubi. Available for only the short period of time Summer Corn is in season, it is paired with chipotle mayo, sandwiched between two rice cakes, wrapped in nori and cut into three bite sized pieces.

Long Island City’s just opened Rang NYC from Chef/Owner Abishek Sharma features corn in its Corn and Crispy Okra Chaat. Influenced by the corn on the cob Abishek’s mother used to make while he was growing up, it is composed of corn tossed with amul ghee and crispy wiry strings of okra sprinkled with tajin, marrying sweet with spicy.
