The long-beleaguered West Bank Café, which has been closed since mid-December, will reopen on January 23 under the new ownership of Michael and Tom D’Angora, who led two GoFundMe campaigns to keep the eatery’s doors open in the past five years.
The restaurant, which serves upscale casual fare, will originally open for dinner and weekend brunch, with lunch and expanded last-night hours to be announced soon.
In addition, the restaurant’s popular downstairs venue, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, is scheduled to reopen in February. A noted cabaret space, the Beechman was the regular home of the late Joan Rivers and has hosted such luminaries as Karen Mason, Jeff Harnar and Craig Rubano.
