New York’s 48th Annual Village Halloween Parade is back on this year! The parade takes place on October 31, 2021 starting at 7pm and travels along 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 16th Street. More than 2 million people are expected to attend. More than 50 marching bands will be participating along with hundreds of giant puppets, dancers and artists. Thousands of New Yorkers will also be attending in hand-made costume creations.
The Grand Marshal this year is comedian Randy Rainbow. The parade is being dedicated to kids who missed out on Halloween last year. The parade can also be watched on NY1. It is free to attend, but you can also purchase a ticket for $100 and avoid dealing with the crowds. If you’re looking to attend for free, we recommend getting their early and finding a good spot, and using public transportation to get there given all of the street closures. The parade wraps up at around 11pm. Happy Halloween!
