Where to Celebrate NYC Pride in 2025

Pride Month is back in full swing, and New York City is hosting a dynamic lineup of events to celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture, community, and history. From parades to rooftop parties, drag shows to art exhibits, Pride 2025 offers something for everyone.

The centerpiece is the NYC Pride March, taking place Sunday, June 29, with this year’s theme: “Rise Up: Pride in Protest.” The march kicks off in the Flatiron District—marking 55 years of participation—and continues down Fifth Avenue, dispersing at 15th St & 7th Ave. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is among the Grand Marshals. Brooklyn Pride also has a full slate of events including Lunch with Pride, Virtual Drag Bingo, Pride Night at the Brooklyn Cyclones and more. The Brooklyn Twilight Parade takes place June 14 at 7:30pm (5th Avenue from Lincoln Place to 9th Streets. Reviewing Stand at 3rd Street.)

Joanne Trattoria on the Upper West Side hosts a Pride edition of its drag dinner show on June 18, with Jupiter Genesis, Atomic Annie, and DJ P A T. On June 21, the trattoria presents Born to Slay, a dinner dance party with DJ E-Mood. And on June 7, the venue honors Elton John with a tribute show featuring Lance Millard. On the same day, cap off the month at Pride Daylight Disco at Elsie Rooftop (1412 Broadway) from 3 PM to 9 PM. This 21+ party features live DJs, skyline views, and a glittering dance floor. VIP tickets (3–7 PM) include a 2-hour open bar; General Admission (3–7 PM) includes rooftop access with drinks for purchase. Tickets here.

Romer's Hell's Kitchen (851 8th Ave) is launching Love Thy Gayborhood, a month-long celebration featuring Ella Emhoff’s Soft Hands Knitting Club (June 11), a Pride & Safe Spaces Panel (June 18), and a Juneteenth celebration (June 19). On June 27, the venue So & So’s kicks off a five-month drag residency hosted by Miss Hell’s Kitchen 2024 winner Sabel Scities. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Ali Forney Center.

Other highlights include:

Brooklyn Art Haus in Williamsburg also has a full lineup of events ranging from a Brooklyn Gay Bar Crawl (June 1) to the BAH Ball (June 5) with dancing, food and cocktails.

Downtown, The Beekman Hotel offers a Pride Room Package for stays from June 1 to July 6 with a portion of proceeds supporting the Ali Forney Center.

In Tribeca, Anat Ebgi Gallery presents two queer-focused exhibits: Love in a Mist by Samantha Thomas and Rendezvous by Krzysztof Strzelecki. In Union Square, Love Continuum by Yoni Alter remains on view through August. And Off-Broadway, TITANÍQUE ends its run June 29 at Daryl Roth Theatre.

Rounding out the month, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine will host Pride Eve (May 31, 6pm), Pride Family Picnic (June 14, 11am-2pm), a Juneteenth concert with the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus (June 20, 8pm), and a Pride Evensong (June 29, 4pm).
