The New York Transit Musaeum Gallery Annex and Store is a great place to explore for adults and kids. Known for it's holiday train exhibit held annually around Christmastime, the museum also offers free exhibits of transit history, including one on transit "etiquette." The shop also sells lots of interesting transit memorabilia and trinkets. If you enjoy the show, you can leave a contribution at the door. The museum annex is open Monday - Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
