Former Tocqueville chef George Mendes is calling the Flatiron District home with his new spot, Aldea. The restaurant is named after a Portuguese village and specializes in rustic, yet refined dishes inspired by the Iberian Peninsula. Among them; razor clams with ginger and bayleaf, sardines with Madeira raisins and diver scallops with farro risotto. You'll even find crisped pig ears served with apple and cumin yogurt.
