 Cuisine: Gourmet Shops Summary: Dean & DeLuca is introducing Dean & DeLuca Stage, a new food and design concept by architect Ole Scheeren in the Meatpacking District. Scheeren says, “STAGE embodies an interactive, contemporary notion of culture" where people can come together, where stories are told, and where performances take place. The move is designed to take Dean & DeLuca beyond traditional gourmet markets. Stage, an all-day concept, will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with carefully curated ingredients freshly prepared on site. Signature pastries and baked goods are also offered, as well as fresh breads, including ciabatta, brioche and focaccia. Made-to-order sandwiches and bowls will feature ingredients like slow-roasted turkey, baked falafel and roasted porchetta. Stage will also offer vegan options, coffee drinks, along with a selection of beer and wine.
