Where the suits head for steak.Review By: Benny Prim
Del Frisco's, in Rockefeller Center, attracts a real business crowd with two bars and upscale ambiance. Everything in the place is big from its oversized steaks and onion rings to the place itself, which wreaks of richness with its show-stopping wrought iron stairway.
But you get what you pay for. The food is first-rate. My ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes are to die for. The lobster gets high marks for presentation, but on our visit it was a bit over-cooked
For dessert, the strawaberry cheesecake is a crowd pleaser, as is the flourless chocolate cake wrapped in filo dough. It was a bit too goppy for me, but chocoholics, I'm sure, will have a field day with it. The only weak spot - the mixed drinks, which for the price could pack more of a kick. I'd stick with the beer.
Be prepared to drop at least a hundred bucks for your meal. Major credit cards accepted.
