GustOrganics is something that most restaurants claim to be but are in fact not. In this age of eating healthy and living green the word “organic” is thrown around quite often. While some restaurants use it frivolously, GustOrganics is the first and only certified organic restaurant in New York City.  More impressive than that, GustOrganics was the first ever certified restaurant in the world for using all organic ingredients.  Those are reasons enough to check out this spot near Union Square.

GustOrganics features a very diverse brunch, lunch and dinner menu. Dishes range from a Local Farmers Omelet ($14) to Sizzling Fajitas ($23) in your choice of chicken, steak or tofu. They also feature more upscale dinner foods such as Lemon Chicken ($22) served in a butter-lemon sauce and grilled grass-fed Filet Mignon ($29) with a chimichurri sauce.

The décor of the restaurant is very inviting, while being both spacious and well lit at the same time. With all that said GustOrganics is lacking in a few major elements to make it a fully desirable restaurant.  At times, service can be slow, and the food, while fully organic, is sometimes lacking the depth of flavor one might expect at these prices.
