Mama Fina’s is winning high praise for a sizzling Filipino dish called Sisig. Traditionally made with pork, the version at Mama Fina's comes with pork belly, onions and chili cooked in a cast iron pan. Crack into it and you will find crunchy bits of pork on the bottom as the steam rises. It will keep you coming back for more. Beef, chicken and squid versions are also offered. A tall pile of garlic fried rice, which is good on its own, sits on the side. Sisig isn't the only thing on the menu at Mama Fina's. Look for Crispy Pata made with fried pork hocks, short ribs served with a tangy sauce, fried chicken wings with macaroni salad and stewed oxtail in peanut sauce called Kare-Kare. Mama Fina's is a laid back spot. Order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Desserts include Camote Turon, spring rolls filled with sweet yam and Halo-Halo made with crushed ice, evaporated milk and sweet fillings.
