Park Avalon

Park Avalon

Cuisine: Seafood

Summary: If you are hungry for a classic New York setting and a menu to keep even the toughest critic coming back for more, then Park Avalon is the place you're looking for! Mingle with local industry icons, food-lovers, cozy couples and neighborhood regulars alike in this lofty tri-level dining room reminiscent of those great old-New York spaces - with a distinctively modern touch.

Need to wind down after work? Celebrate the day's end at the bar with something bubbly or our "Hot and Dirty Martini", garnished with habenero pepper-infused olives made by our house cocktailiers. And when rubbing elbows works up an appetite, choose from the masterful New American bistro fare – popular pre-dinner delights include the Three Mushroom Pizza scented with truffle oil, or the Spicy Calamari with Lemon Aioli. Both are sure to get you going after a long day at the desk or before a night out on the town.

Chef Fernando Zapata has put together a hard-to-choose menu, bringing the best of each season right to your table. Grilled Gulf Shrimp are served on a bed of Peperonata with a Parmesan Wafer and fresh Oregano and Seared Sea Scallops with Sweet Pea Puree and Orange and Carrot Emulsion – enough to keep your taste buds guessing and coming back for more!

Follow the lighter fare with Blackened Mahi-Mahi with a Sweet Potato- Crabmeat Hash, or step it up to the Grilled N.Y. Sirloin Steak with Chive Mashed Potatoes and a Chimichurri Sauce. Skillet-Roasted Free Range Chicken is served with Sauteed Broccoli Rabe and Sweet Potato Gratin and a delicate mix of Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops in a White Wine-Shallot Broth is served over Capellini for those looking for a pasta fix.

And if that isn’t comes dessert! Warm Apple Galette with Hudson Valley Apples, Apple Caramel Reduction and Cinnamon Ice Cream is the perfect antidote to a long winter night, and the Deconstructed Banana Split with a Caramelized Banana, Vanilla Filling, Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Ice Cream is enough to encourage any adult to get their spoons ready! If you are just looking for a taste, sip a Tisane tea blend while your fellow diners indulge.

Don't forget that on Sundays, the tri-level Park Avalon manages to turn up the volume with a traditional brunch complete with a live jazz ensemble. Just one more reason to check out what's happening at Park Avalon, whether you're in town or around the corner.
