Dublin-based Porterhouse Brewing Co. is making its New York City debut and bringing with it, 10 award-winning stouts, ales and lagers. The owners of Fraunces Tavern are among the forces behind the venture in the Financial District. Expect elevated pub classics like oysters on the half shell with stout mignonette; Short Rib & Stout Pie; and a Lamb Shoulder Sandwich with olive tepenade on grilled country bread. The restaurant will also be serving brunch. The location will also feature the Lovelace Cocktail and Gin Bar, an ode to the Lovelace Tavern which stood on the exact location in the late 1600s. The restaurant, which opens onto Pearl and Water Streets, seats close to 200 guests with additional outdoor dining in the warmer months.
