Scarpetta, known for its bold Italian flavors, has taken up residence at The James Hotel in Flatiron, and is now LDV Hospitality's signature brand. Chef Jorge Espinoza is offering classics like Yellowtail Crudo, Diver Scallop with black truffle, Braised Octopus with artichoke, Roasted Bronzino, Short Rib Agnolotti, Creamy Polenta, Duck & Foie Gras Ravioli, and Spaghetti with Tomato & Basil. Desserts include a Thin Apple Tart and Twice Baked Lemon Cake. Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen has created a modern yet rustic space with vaulted ceilings and exposed steel columns. The restaurant also features a 50-seat bar and café, along with a communal dining room.
