Celebrity Chefs Join Pizza Series at Mel's

Acclaimed chef Melissa Rodriguez is bringing together her fellow Michelin-star restaurant chefs and friends for the ultimate F.O.M.O (Friends of Mel’s Oven) pizza series, exclusively available at Mel’s [85 Tenth Ave] in Chelsea from July 8th through Labor Day weekend.

Each chef’s pizza will be highlighted on the Mel’s menu on a rotating basis, for a limited time. The menu includes:
July 8th - July 21st: Chef Daniel Boulud
Pizza Pavillon - Inspired by chef Boulud’s classic dish from his upscale seafood restaurant Le Pavillon, the pizza has an oyster chowder base, and is topped with oysters, potatoes, leeks, hazelnuts with a parsley- seaweed crust.
July 22nd - August 4th: Chef Gabriel Kreuther
Coastal Farmers Pizza - Red tomato sauce, green bell peppers, red onions, fresh ricotta, cured Anchovies, dry cured black olives, Mortadella, sunny side egg, fresh Basil
August 5th - August 18th: Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten
The Sunflower - Featuring a Sungold tomato sauce, market summer squash and squash blossom with mozzarella and ricotta cheese
August 19th - September 1st: Chef Junghyun Park
K-Mediterranean Pizza - a sardine-kimchi pizza with pork belly, fried sardines, kimchi, and fresh arugula
To help celebrate the F.O.M.O pizza series, Mel’s is offering limited-edition t-shirts, which are available for purchase at the restaurant.
The pizzas are available for lunch and dinner (Friday - Sunday, 11:30am - 2:30pm; and Wednesday - Monday, starting at 5:30pm), alongside Mel’s signature wood-fired pies such as Margherita, Mushroom, Soppressata Piccante, and more. Reservations are available via Resy.
