NYC Bites - The Brekke at & Sons Buttery in Brooklyn

If you are able to get your hands on The Brekke at & Sons Buttery in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, do so! It’s one of the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve tasted made with wholesome ingredients. The sandwich is stacked high with a thick slice of house-made sausage, heirloom egg, cheese custard (which is amazing), tomato relish and chips for some added crunch. It’s served on a toasted milk bun and makes for a truly delicious bite.

Other sandwiches offered at the Buttery include Country Ham & Cheese, Egg & Pesto, and Soppressata with Piparra Peppers. The shop is also filled with charcuterie and regional cheeses, as well as hard-to-find items like Kewpie mayonnaise, Cumin from Afghanistan, and canned fish, including Scout “Atlantic Lobster” and Fishwife “Smoked Rainbow Trout.”

The Buttery is part of a growing empire by & Sons Hospitality Group which also includes & Sons Ham Bar, the VyneYard offering hand-selected wines, and Mockingbird selling breakfast tacos from 7am until sold out (Thursday thru Sunday).
