Cititour.com Review
Perhaps it's about man's struggle against the brutality of existence. After all, the opening sequence of this high-octane piece of physical theater — from the Argentine creators of the long-running Off-Broadway spectacle De La Guarda — features a man on a treadmill, soldiering on as wind, rain, people and even a wall try to knock him down.

Then again it could be depicting the resilience of the human spirit in the face of disasters like Hurricane Katrina. That would explain another segment, in which wind wreaks havoc and literally brings down the house around an exuberant group of people, who take to dancing amid the chaos.

Or maybe it's a cautionary tale about global warning. Since the piece de resistance consists of four athletic and acrobatically inclined young women bouncing, stomping, pounding and sliding around a water-dabbled tank, it's easy to make that connection. When their pond dries up, they turn cranky and agitated, as if upset by shifting environmental conditions they cannot control. But as soon as they're hit by a fresh spritz, they revert back to their blissful, playful selves.

Resembling a grownup version of that Slip 'n Slide toy, the tank is suspended above the standing audience, and its transparent bottom delivers a voyeur's dream view of the nubile, scantily clad gals. And that's probably the real intention of this high-spirited hour-long entertainment, a kind of Cirque du Soleil for the jaded urban 20-something set with better costumes, no clowns and constantly pounding club music.

Many of these feats are more likely to inspire how-did-they-do-that wonder than deep philosophical musings — the title translates into "brute force" — but, whether it's with fondness or aversion, this is definitely a show that forces you to remember it.
