Our very special TASTE participants will include a host of Lower Manhattan’s most important restaurants, reflecting the area’s vibrant, diverse and intensifying food community. While the dynamic community continues to rebuild after Superstorm Sandy, the desire for more exciting culinary experiences reflect the area’s spirit of recovery as well as its dynamic growth, despite the obstacles nature has thrown its way. Food lovers and families across the Tri-State area are invited to join Lower Manhattan’s vibrant community in celebrating fall with the best of the neighborhood’s restaurants, bars and other retail establishments, along with music and family-friendly activities.
“The Howard Hughes Corporation has signed a new multi-year agreement to continue serving as the festival’s presenting sponsor,” said Phillip St. Pierre, Senior General Manager of the South Street Seaport, “We have so enjoyed supporting the Taste of the Seaport in years past and look forward to an even stronger long-term partnership in the years ahead. The Howard Hughes Corporation is dedicated to enriching the lives of the many families who live in the neighborhood as well as continuing to boost and generate growth for the many retail businesses in and around the Seaport.”
Other major sponsors include the Durst Organization, one of the oldest family-run, commercial and residential real estate companies in New York City; Hornblower Cruises & Events, the United States’ largest private charter vessel and public dining company, with yachts sailing from Pier 15 at the South Street Seaport; and the New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, which provides critical health and wellness support to Lower Manhattan. "We are very excited to participate in such a great neighborhood event. Community outreach is an important part of our mission,” said Michael Fosina, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of New York-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan. “We are proud to be the neighborhood hospital and look forward to partnering on the Taste of the Seaport and future events."
