Urbanspace is sponsoring a Fall food festival on Broadway in the Garment District featuring an assortment of street food and gourmet treats. We tried the blueberry and apple pie macarons at The Baking Bean. The stand is also selling Black Forest cake by the slice and pumpkin pie pop tarts. At Batter & Cream you'll find bite-size whoopie pies in flavors like strawberry basil, lemon sage and carrot cake. Kids will eat up the smores. On the savory side, Mimi & Coco is serving up Japanese style street food in the form of Teriyaki balls topped with three different sauces and cornflakes for crunch, while Roberta's of Bushwick is offer its signature pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. We tried the Speck and Wolf with speck, mushroomn mozarella and red onion. What a treat.
